Danny Welbeck scored his first senior hat-trick as Arsenal marked Arsène Wenger's 18th anniversary as manager with an emphatic win in the Champions League.

The deadline-day signing poked in his first goal after 22 minutes and added a second on the half-hour mark after powering clear of the Galatasaray defence.

Alexis Sanchez grabbed a third just before half-time after latching onto Mesut Ozil's through-ball, and Welbeck completed his treble with another deft finish early in the second half.

Champions League group is revealed

Arsenal will face Borussia Dortmund, Galatasaray and Anderlecht in the Champions League group stage.

 

The draw took place in Monaco on Thursday and saw the Gunners, who were one of the eight seeded clubs in Pot One, drawn in Group D.

 

Arsenal qualified for the group stage for the 17th consecutive season after beating Besiktas 1-0 in their play-off.

Fully Customized Movie-Accurate TMNT Action Figures

These are the TMNT movie-based action figures (links to eBay auction) that were fully customized and painted by John Harmon of Mint Condition Customs (of these other painted Ninja Turtle action figures fame) to look way less shitty than they originally come. Unsurprisingly, John did a great job as usual and polished these turds so fine you could probably see your reflection in them (before and after shots below).

So, how many of you went to see the new TMNT movie this weekend? How was it? I thought about going then decided against it. Just kidding, I had to spend the whole weekend in jail and didn't have a choice choice. I did make some new friends though. "You mean lovers?" Yes :(

Community Shield: Arsenal vs Manchester City 3-0

SUMMARY

Arsenal experienced that winning feeling at Wembley once again as a polished performance saw off Manchester City in the Community Shield.

Santi Cazorla opened the scoring for the FA Cup holders with a low shot in the 21st minute and Aaron Ramsey added a second three minutes before the break, finishing expertly after good work from Yaya Sanogo.

The best was saved for last though, substitute Olivier Giroud producing a thunderous effort from 25 yards to put the seal on a eye-catching victory over a rather subdued City side.

FA CUP FINAL: Arsenal vs Hull City 3-2 (AET)

 

Arsenal have won the FA Cup for the 11th time in their history.

 

Arsène Wenger’s side came from 2-0 down to triumph 3-2 in extra-time thanks to Aaron Ramsey’s goal.

 

The FA Cup does fairytales like no other football competition but it excelled itself this afternoon. Arsenal were heavy favourites going into the game but they were 2-0 down in nine minutes via two strikes from Hull's centre halves – James Chester and Curtis Davies.

 Arsenal returned to fourth place in the Premier League with a 3-1 comeback victory over West Ham at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

Lukas Podolski fired home an immediate response after Matt Jarvis had nodded the visitors in front just before the break.

The scoreline was a fair reflection of the game after 45 minutes but Arsenal were excellent after the restart, defying expectations of fatigue following Saturday’s exertions at Wembley.

 These are two videos featuring every title screen for every game made for the Nintendo and Super Nintendo, in alphabetical order. The Nintendo one is three hours long. The Super Nintendo one is 9 hours long. 

 If you start watching them now, you will be finished in twelve hours and chock-full of regret for pissing away half a day of your weekend watching old video game title screens. Which is why I'm going to watch them both back to back and blow a full 24 hours.

Iconic Album Cover Locations In Google Street View

This is a series of iconic (some less than others) album covers superimposed over the actual locations they were shot at in Google Street View. I have not visited any of those places. Of course, I'm still saving up for my album cover tour of the world. So far I've got a grand total of my change from dinner at Taco Bell last night. Which, if I'm being perfectly honest, is probably going to go towards more Taco Bell tonight. Maybe even for lunch.

FA Cup Semi Finals - Wigan Athletics vs Arsenal 1-1 (2-4) Penalties

They won 4-2 on penalties after a tight, tense semi-final at Wembley on Saturday.

Lukasz Fabianski made crucial saves from Wigan’s first two spot-kicks. Arsenal scored all theirs to reach the final for a record-equalling 18th time in their history.

With their sleeves rolled up and their backs against the wall, Arsenal secured a gritty 1-0 win at Tottenham on Sunday.

 

Tomas Rosicky’s thunderbolt strike put them ahead after only two minutes. They had to soak up serious pressure after that but, with Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny magnificent, they kept Tottenham at bay.

This passionate, pacy quarter-final was decided in the closing 20 minutes.

Di Malaysia, seluar ani kana panggil seluar bercawat labuh yg di panggil harem. Idea si Aflin menggunakan kain pelikat sebagai fabrik membuatkan seluar ani lebih "rugged".

 

Yang ku hairan, masa ku di KL, payah banar ku mencari seluar ani, ku tanya urang di sana, ada yang inda "familiar" dengan seluar ani...huhuhu...."ironic", "ironic". Ku liat harga pun arah blog Aflin ..ok-ok jua lah, tapi jika abiskita minat banar-banar  and rasanya ingin mencuba membuat sendiri atau nya urang putih DIY (Do It Yourself). Two goals in the space of 59 seconds from Jack Wilshere and Olivier Giroud sent Arsenal back to the summit of the Premier League with a hard-fought victory at Villa Park.

Until Christian Benteke’s diving header reduced their lead in the 76th minute, this had been, to borrow a ‘Wenger-ism’, a highly efficient performance.

Arsenal had controlled proceedings and took the lead when Wilshere finished off a flowing move involving Mesut Ozil and Nacho Monreal in the 34th minute.

Moments later, they doubled their advantage as Wilshere picked out Giroud with a fine ball and the striker fired into the bottom corner from 10 yards.

But Benteke’s goal sent Arsenal hearts racing and a tense finale ensued that would test their character to the fullest.

500,000-Piece LEGO Car Powered By 256 LEGO Pistons

 

 

 

 

This is the 500,000+ piece LEGO car that was built by 20-year-old Romanian Raul Oaida. Obviously it's not 100% LEGO (chassis, axles, wheels), but it is fueled by compressed air powering 256 LEGO pistons and can allegedly reach speeds up to 20MPH. For reference, that's faster than you can run. So, if there was a LEGO car that was determined to catch and kill you, it could. "Not if I jumped the curb and ran in the grass."

New Parents Recreate Classic Movie Scenes With Baby

 

 

These are a bunch of pics from Cardboard Box Office, a photographic series by new parents Libby and Leon, who recreate scenes from classic movies with their son, Orson. In case you couldn't tell from the sweded quality, all the scenes were created using only objects they already have at home. Mostly cardboard. Cardboard is like gold when you're a kid.

 

Then again when you're grown up and getting kicked out of your first apartment because your roommate asked his girlfriend to move in. After I got all my stuff out I pulled up the carpet in the living room and laid out a bunch of tilapia filets before tacking it back down and stomping everything flat.
