Arsenal are in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

 

They reached the last eight after a fraught and frantic - yet deeply satisfying - 2-1 win over Liverpool at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

 

The home side withstood another early Liverpool onslaught to take the lead through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after 16 minutes. The midfielder set up Lukas Podolski for a second just after the break but Steven Gerrard’s penalty reduced the deficit on the hour.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored twice as Arsenal returned to the top of the Premier League with a 2-0 win over a dogged Crystal Palace side at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

 

After a sterile first half, the 20-year-old struck two minutes into the second period to break the deadlock. He added a killer second 17 minutes from time.
