EPL: Stoke City 1-3 Arsenal

Arsenal hauled themselves back into the Premier League title race with a 3-1 win at Stoke that was marred by a horrific injury to Aaron Ramsey.

Chelsea's defeat to Manchester City and Manchester United's inactivity presented the Gunners with an opportunity to gain ground in the title race, a chance they seized by scoring two late goals to a earn victory at the Britannia Stadium that takes them to within three points of the Blues.

Ramsey's horrific-looking injury however soured the triumph, with the midfielder stretchered off in the second half after a tackle that earned Ryan Shawcross a red card.

Stoke opened the scoring early on through Danny Pugh but Niklas Bendtner dragged the Gunners level just after the half-hour mark.

A draw looked on the cards after Ramsey's injury, but Cesc Fabregas scored a late penalty and Thomas Vermaelen netted in the seven minutes of added time to give the visitors a hard-earned and deserved win.

The Gunners started poorly and were behind on eight minutes.

Rory Delap's long throws have lead to three goals for the Potters in the Gunners' last two visits to the Britannia, but Wenger's side clearly have not learned their lesson as it was from another of the midfielder's hurled deliveries that the hosts opened the scoring.

Shawcross met Delap's missile with a flick-on that found Pugh at the far post, who nodded home his first Premier League goal of the season from close range with the Gunners defence nowhere to be seen
.
Arsenal struggled to contain their hosts early on but slowly they found their way into the game, with Bendtner hauling them level on 32 minutes.

Fabregas was afforded the time and space on the right to swing in a cross, but despite there appearing to be little panic in the Potters' defence, Bendtner climbed above Abdoulaye Faye and Shawcross to plant a superb header back across Thomas Sorensen, who was given no chance by the Danish striker.

Ramsey thought he should have had a penalty shortly after the break when he was bundled over by Faye in the Stoke box, while Emmanuel Eboue's blistering 20-yard drive on the hour had to be diverted over the bar by Sorensen as the Gunners went looking for the second.

Ramsey's sickening injury and Shawcross' red card came in the 66th minute. The Welshman was left stricken on the floor following the Stoke defender's misjudged challenge, and with the other players in the vicinity visibly distressed by the result of the tackle, ref Peter Walton produced a red card. Shawcross left the field in tears, followed soon after by Ramsey on a stretcher, who was given oxygen on his way to a waiting ambulance.

The game looked to be understandably petering out until Pugh was penalised for a handball in the box in the 90th minute.

Fabregas stepped up and slotted the ball low past Sorensen, to spark scenes of jubilation in front of the visiting support. Those scenes were repeated three minutes later when Vermaelen poked home from close range to seal the victory.

EPL: Arsenal 2-0 Sunderland

Theo Walcott starred as a goal in each half from Nicklas Bendtner and Cesc Fabregas gave Arsenal a 2-0 win over Sunderland at Emirates Stadium.

Walcott may not yet have secured his seat on England's World Cup plane to South Africa but he could hardly have turned in a better audition than the performance he produced in front of England manager Fabio Capello on Saturday.

Bendtner scored the first-half goal and Fabregas the injury-time penalty which defeated a sterile Sunderland side but it was Walcott who produced the pace and the menace.

At times it had shades of Zagreb 2008, the night Walcott scored a hat-trick against Croatia which set England on the right course in their World Cup qualifying campaign.

There were no goals this time but if you want a winger to terrorise defenders, then Walcott in this mood does it better than most.

But if Walcott was Arsenal's most lethal attacker, the other man who made the difference was Manuel Almunia.

Arsene Wenger had been anxious to stress his support for Lukasz Fabianski after the young Polish goalkeeper's two howlers had sunk the Gunners in their Champions League defeat against Porto in midweek, but it did not stretch to keeping him in the side.

He went for the experience of 34-year-old Almunia, who was back after passing a fitness test on an injured finger. Sol Campbell, whose backpass also contributed to the Gunners' downfall, started on the bench.

But if the disappointment of Portugal lingered then it did not show. Arsenal were quicker to the ball, Fabregas and Aaron Ramsey seizing control in midfield with their slide-rule passing and pretty patterns.

Walcott announced his desire as early as the fourth minute, sprinting past Sunderland full-back George McCartney like an Olympic finalist - which is not that far-fetched, considering he has been timed at a hand-held 10.2 seconds for 100m.

McCartney must have wondered then if it had been a good idea to get out of bed this particular Saturday.

The answer came time and again over the next hour or so as Walcott tempted him in and then left him in his wake in a straight foot race.

Quite how Sunderland went in only one goal down in that first-half is one of life's little mysteries.

McCartney was part of the reason, deflecting one Samir Nasri shot over the crossbar and then somehow diverting a Bendtner left-foot blast on to the bar only to see it bounce to safety.

The opening goal, however, came courtesy of a slaloming run from Emmanuel Eboue which would not have been out of place on the slopes in Vancouver.

At the end of it he found a precision pass across the box which found Bendtner loitering in cavernous space at the far post. Bendtner may have scored easier goals but it is doubtful.

True, Fraizer Campbell did bring one fine save from Almunia - and how Kenwyne Jones did not score when clean through with only Almunia to beat, only he knows. But for the most part Steve Bruce's side were out-thought, out-manoeuvred and out-played.

They were also somewhat fortunate to finish with a full complement after Sunderland captain Lorik Cana launched a two-footed tackle which felled Eboue. Referee Steve Bennett produced a yellow card, which could easily have been red.

The second half was more of the same, Arsenal flooding forward, full of spark. Walcott brought a fine save from Gordon, Thomas Vermaelen almost decapitated the Sunderland goalkeeper with a free-kick pile-driver and chances were made and squandered in equal measure.

Arsenal almost paid the price - and would have done if it was not for the quick thinking of Almunia, who raced out to smother a Darren Bent shot when the striker was clean through.

There were a few nervy moments for the Gunners as they failed to cash in on their superior possession.

But in injury time Fabregas was brought down by Campbell on the edge of the area and the Spaniard, forever Arsenal's orchestrator, got up to rap home Arsenal's second from the spot.

It was no more than Wenger's men deserved.

Go The Crayola Crayon Rockets

In most countries, manufacturing gun powder and ammunition at home can be a serious crime; However, some people may be able to do it quite legally and that too in the most creative ways possible, as we can clearly see with these Crayon rockets dressed up just like the famous colorful Crayola Crayon packs we remember from our childhood.

While we all burn fireworks on certain holidays, John Coker has taken the idea of fireworks a bit too far (and highly appreciated). He has manufactured rockets that look like Crayola crayons with their various colors, packaging and even branding. You might think there is absolutely no connection between the two, and that it is completely ridiculous, but I am certain many would appreciate the gesture and would only wish they could draw such a project in their minds (no pun intended).

If you ask yourself “why?”, I would answer right back with a “why not?”, for the result looks great and would delight any pyromaniac. Thus, these rockets that look like crayons were built, and you could also see how they were built with John’s link below to instructions, directions and work in progress images. In brief, he explains that he got that idea after a friend has mentioned the I-ROC looked pretty similar to a Crayola Crayon, and since the smallest pack he found was 8, it pretty much fit the standard mid-power rockets.

Although the project looks amazing in the finalized presentation, it actually began in 1998, had a long delay and resumed in 2004. In the end, the result is absolutely stunning and John ended up really making those Crayons fly.

Of course, I suggest you DON’T try manufacturing such rockets at home, no matter how friendly the bottles of paint that he used look. Instead, you could just gloss over these mind blowing pictures of John Coker’s Homemade Crayola Crayons Rockets and wait for him to release the rocket launch video.

You could also take a look at the LED Light Artwork, which would certainly not require anything that is inflammable. Of course, as they say, it is always good to play safe with fire. If you can’t, better watch someone else play with it. This time, watch John Coker do it!

For other colorful Crayons, check out the giant Crayola Crayons Cake that allows you to finally eat the paint.

John explain in great detail the entire ordeal of developing the Crayon rockets from the preliminary design, painting the rockets, installing fins, building the Crayola Crayon box and the launch. It is a must for rocket enthusiasts.

UEFA Champions League: Porto 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal went down 2-1 at Porto in controversial fashion on Wednesday night. They trailed after just 11 minutes of this Champions League Knockout Round first leg when keeper Lukasz Fabianski fumbled Silvestre Valera's cross over his own line.

However they got back on level terms almost immediately when Sol Campbell, playing his first Champions League game since the 2006 Final, nodded in from close range.

It had been an open, nerve-jangling first half but the visitors seemed set to take over after the break. They would probably have led if Tomas Rosicky's strong claims for a penalty had been heard. In the end the result swung on the events of the 51st minute.

That is when Fabianski was ruled to have picked up Campbell's back pass and Falcao scored from a quickly-taken free-kick. Arsenal, and particularly Arsène Wenger, complained loudly that the referee should not have allowed play to restart that swiftly.

Right or wrong, that decision will be the lasting memory of this game. Of course, Wenger's side can all but erase it if they secure safe passage to the last eight with a stereotypical "1-0 to the Arsenal". That is all they have to do.Their fate will be in their own hands on March 7 even if it did not always seem that way this evening.

Wenger's team selection had been hemmed in by a run of injuries in the build up to this game. From the team that had won 1-0 against Liverpool a week earlier, Manuel Almunia (finger), William Gallas (calf), Andrey Arshavin (hamstring) and Alex Song (knee) all dropped out.

Meanwhile a lingering hamstring problem meant Eduardo did not make his anticipated return.

EPL: Arsenal 1-0 Liverpool

Despite rumours to the contrary, there is life in Arsenal’s Premier League season.

Defeats to Manchester United and Chelsea in eight days left Arsène Wenger’s side playing catch-up before a crucial game with in-form Liverpool this evening.

While never at their best, a resilient Arsenal rolled up their sleeves and responded with a rejuvenating win.

The only goal came 18 minutes from time when Tomas Rosicky’s inviting cross was RSVP’d by Abou Diaby’s header at the far post.

By way of celebration, half the Arsenal side piled on top of the Frenchman.
It was relief to the power of 10.

This was Wenger’s 300th Premier League win and the 450th of his Arsenal career. But the only stat to manager cares less about is the distance between his team and top spot.

Chelsea’s defeat at Everton and Manchester United’s draw at Aston Villa mean that gap is down to six points. Meanwhile Arsenal have now opened an eight-point divide between themselves and Liverpool in fourth.

This result can not make up for the disappointments of the past two Sundays but it does suggest Wenger’s optimism has credence.

It seems we have a three-horse title race once again.

Wenger made a couple of changes from the side beaten at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Bendtner started his first game since limping off against Tottenham on October 31. The Dane was the focal point of the attack so Andrey Arshavin dropped to the left flank. Meanwhile Emmanuel Eboue was back in the starting XI for the first time since December 19. The Ivorian had come off the bench in the defeats against Manchester United and Chelsea. Before that, he had been in Ghana for the Africa Cup of Nations. As a result of those inclusions, Theo Walcott and Bacary Sagna dropped to the bench.

In the early stages, the atmosphere off the pitch was indicative of results on it. The travelling fans were in full voice, the home supporters were relatively muted. Arsenal’s season had been shaken by two successive defeats while Liverpool were unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games.

Neither side could afford defeat and perhaps that anxiety affected the opening quarter.
The opening minutes were lively enough however with the two sides exchanging half-chances from right wing free-kicks. First Steven Gerrard’s ball ricocheted off Bacary Sagna and Manuel Almunia had to make a flying interception then William Gallas nodded over from a fine delivery from Cesc Fabregas.

After that the game fell into a malaise. Arsenal had enough of the ball but perhaps there was a nagging fear of conceding on the break as they had against Chelsea and Manchester United. Certainly they were more reticent to go forward.

The chance that broke down the mental barrier came in the 20th minute. The stumbling Arshavin sent Bendtner clear on the right of the area. The Dane had a glimpse of goal and slashed his shot over the bar. Soon afterwards Nasri saw a goal-bound effort charged down for Pepe Reina flapped at a cross and Arshavin blazed over.

At the other end, Maxi Rodriguez latched on to a loose ball on the edge of the area and cracked his effort high.

The flurry of chances did not last. It did not help that Wenger was forced to make a change just after the half-hour. Nasri had gone to ground for no reason early on and immediately Rosicky was sent out to warm up. Eventually the French midfielder acceded to his injury.

To be honest, that was about it for the opening half. Arsenal were far from fluent and, on a freezing North London night, the first 45 minutes never got above lukewarm.

However the opening seconds of the second period would promise much more. In fact the first 15 minutes were pretty much end-to-end.

Arshavin reached the byline early on but blasted his shot high into the sidenetting. Lucas Leiva nearly found an immediate response however his fierce shot flew inches over the bar.

The chances were starting to come now yet nerves still seemed to be affecting both side this evening. David N’gog raced clear on to Gerrard’s chip through. The Frenchman had a yard on Clichy and Gallas but the latter produced a wonderfully-timed challenge to slid the ball away at the crucial moment. Another superb intervention from Gallas.

Seconds later, Rosicky went clear on the left for an instant but his touch was too heavy then, just before the hour, the galloping Bendtner tried to steer home a shot only for Reina to block with his legs.

All of a sudden it seemed a game of football had broken out.

Bendtner went down under Daniel Agger’s challenge but referee Howard Webb booked the Dane for simulation. A couple of minutes later the striker laid the ball back for Rosicky to crack a drive inches over the bar.

This was now an entirely different game. The tension of the first half remained but invention had been added. Neither side were functioning at their best but Arsenal had the edge.

Walcott substituted Arshavin with 23 minutes left. Wenger had now replaced two of his front men and the only one remaining who was struggling for fitness.

It seemed that Bendtner would have to soldier on this evening and he did.

In the 72nd minute, the 22-year-old found himself surrounded and under pressure in the area but retained the presence of mind to fed a clever ball to Rosicky on the right. The Czech midfielder had time to pick his target. His chose Diaby at the far post. The Frenchman eluded his marker to power home a header. It was his seventh goal of the season and undoubtedly the most important.

In the wake of the goal, Liverpool finally threw off their shackles. They piled forward but there were only two heart-in-mouth moments before injury time – when Gerrard went down in the box and when substitute Ryan Babel slipped his marker before firing goalwards from 25 yards.

It was a dipping, swerving, curling effort but Almunia touched it on to the bar. A pivotal save.

The second half had been dramatic enough but there was one more twist.

In the dying embers of injury time Gerrard somehow won at free-kick five yards outside the area. Fabregas was booked for protesting the decision and then the Englishman’s effort hit the Spaniard’s outstretched hand as he jumped in the wall.

Liverpool complained when the whistle blew seconds later but no one could dispute the character of this victory tonight.

Dodge Throws In The Towel, Makes Challenger In 'Furious Fuscia' For Men

Dodge has decided to make 'Furious Fuscia' Challengers and market them to men.

Chrysler Group is trying to better define its various brands and products as it attempts to claw back lost market share following years of slumping sales and financial cutbacks that ultimately ended in bankruptcy.

Photographs don't really do justice to Furious Fuchsia, Chrysler spokesman Dan Ried insisted, while acknowledging that fuchsia might seem an odd color choice for a male-oriented car.

"I saw it in person and it actually looks pretty cool," he said. "It's tough to capture how it looks in the daylight."

No, it's not hard to capture. It looks pinkish-purple.

Red Bull's Conceptual Bike

This is a conceptual Red Bull motorcycle as designed by Barrend Massow Hemmes.

Creativity is an inborn instinct and can’t be thrust on any person, and by introducing the Red, loud and shiny Bull concept motorcycle, designer Barrend Massow Hemmes has once again shown his exceptional artistic caliber which must be appreciated by one and all. The designer has revealed that the basic idea behind this creation is inspired by one of his iconic company logo viz., bull, which had existed only on papers before. It is with his unique style he was able to incorporate it into a function piece of machinery.

It needs tremendous guts to give life to a raw work in a brilliant way. The main attraction of this Bull concept motorcycle is the way bull horns have been embedded with the wheels, which tremendously look awesome. The designer it seems has used a fiberglass finish with high gloss polyurethane lacquer on it.

Just imagine, how a person will look like if s/he would ride on it? It could depict a Spain’s bull fight scene or if Arnold Schwarzenegger using bull concept bike in his film Terminator fighting his enemies. All bike lovers as well as designers are surely going to appreciate this concept and can’t deny that this bike would surely rock in tough races. They would also be wondering of its release in reality.

It can be said that with this creation the designer has surely hit a bull’s eye. Good job! If you are a bike lover you could appreciate other amazing bike designs like Predator Motorcycle and Snaefell Motorcycle.

EPL: Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal

Didier Drogba's deadly double powered Chelsea to a 2-0 win over Arsenal which moved them back to the top of the Premier League table on Sunday.

Manchester United had replaced Carlo Ancelotti's troops in top spot after peppering Portsmouth on Saturday - but Chelsea's victory in the London derby at Stamford Bridge saw them leapfrog the Red Devils and also pull a whopping nine points clear of Arsene Wenger's men.

The Blues still had their 3-0 November win over their neighbours at The Emirates fresh in their minds when they took the lead after just eight minutes, when captain John Terry flicked on a corner to the far post where Drogba poked home from close range to continue his prolific goalscoring record against the Gunners.

Andrey Arshavin volleyed straight at Petr Cech while both Cesc Fabregas and Gael Clichy drilled long-range shots wide as the visitors responded well.

But it was 2-0 on 23 minutes, when Ivory Coast powerhouse Drogba netted his 12th goal in 10 starts against Wenger's troops, this time finishing off a swift counter-attack with Frank Lampard when he cut inside two Arsenal players and lashed a left-footed strike past Manuel Almunia from 12 yards.

Wenger clearly issued some stirring words during the half-time interval as the Gunners bossed proceedings for most of the second half, with Samir Nasri bursting into the box on the hour mark before dwelling too long on the ball and allowing Ashley Cole to snuff out the danger.

Wenger threw on Nicklas Bendtner, Tomas Rosicky and Emmanuel Eboue from the bench, but it was Fabregas who went closest to scoring for the visitors, drawing a fine low save from Cech with a low 20-yard free-kick on 69.

The hosts were happy to cruise through the closing stages, and the impressive Drogba was denied a hat-trick on 83 minutes, when his 25-yard free-kick flew like an exocet over the wall and crashed against the crossbar.

Drogba was given a standing ovation after leaving the pitch in stoppage time, and the victory ensured Blues skipper Terry ended a troubled week - during which he lost the England captain's armband following tabloid revelations surrounding his private life - on a high note.

My Kinda Ride: Lamborghini Murcielago

The Lamborghini Murciélago is a sports car produced by Italian automaker Lamborghini. It is often referred to as a supercar and is Lamborghini's flagship and the halo car of the automaker's lineup. The Murciélago is a high-performance two-door, two-seat coupé, powered by an evolution of the Lamborghini V12 engine. A roadster version of the car was introduced in 2004.

The Murciélago was introduced in 2001 for the 2002 model year as the successor to the famed Diablo supercar, and was the automaker's first new design in eleven years, as well as the first under the ownership of German automaker Audi. The Murciélago was styled by Peruvian-born Belgian Luc Donckerwolke, Lamborghini's head of design from 1998 to 2005.

Lamborghini Muricielago LP640 Coupe

Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640 Roadster

The Murciélago Roadster was introduced in 2004 as a 2005 model. A sign on the windshield header advises the driver not to exceed 100 mph (160 km/h) with the cloth top in place.

Designer Donckerwolke cited the B-2 stealth bomber, the Wally 118 WallyPower yacht, and architect Santiago Calatrava's Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències in Valencia, Spain as his inspiration for the roadster's revised rear pillars and engine cover.

The Lamborghini Murcielago 40th Anniversary Edition

In 2003, Lamborghini celebrated its 40th anniversary by releasing an Anniversary Edition of the Murciélago. In prior decades, the company had released commemorative editions of the Countach and Diablo.

The 40th anniversary cars were produced in a limited run of 50 vehicles; enhancements included a limited-edition Blue body color that was labelled "Jade-Green", carbon-fiber exterior detailing, upgraded wheels, a revamped exhaust system, and a numbered plaque displayed inside the rear window. The interior featured a new leather trim and additional electronic features.

The 6.2 Litre V12 from a first generation Murcielago

The V12 engine in these cars produced just under 580 PS, or pferdestärke (German: horse strength), a unit of power commonly used in Europe. The engine was capable of powering the car to a speed of 60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.8 seconds.

The first-generation cars, equipped with the 6.2-litre V12, were produced between 2001 and 2006, and are known simply as Murciélago. Although subsequent versions of the Murciélago were designated with their engine output in PS, the original cars were not designated "LP 580" in line with the later convention.
