Fabregas proud to take armband.

His loyalty to the club is without question..

New Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas admits being given the captaincy by Arsene Wenger is "a big responsibility" but is relishing the opportunity.

"It is a proud moment. I know it's a big responsibility but together with my team-mates, I know we have the spirit and commitment to get back to winning ways and fulfil our potential."

Wenger hopes the responsibility will not be too heavy for Fabregas, calling for "shared leadership".

"A successful team has a shared leadership inside the dressing room and he will be one of the leaders but not the only one," Wenger said.
"It is very important that we share that leadership inside the dressing room."

William Gallas had a goal disallowed but sub Nicklas Bendtner netted late on to earn Arsenal a 1-0 Champions League win over Dynamo Kiev.

Sub Bendtner latched on to a quick free-kick from Fabregas and clinically fired a left-footed shot past Bogush to earn the Gunners a place in the last 16 of the competition

Guitar Hero World Tour...it's in stores!

Guitar Hero World Tour (initially referred to as Guitar Hero IV) is a music video game developed by Neversoft and published by RedOctane and Activision. It is the fourth main entry in the Guitar Hero series. The game was launched in North America on October 26, 2008 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360 consoles. A version of the game has been rated by the ESRB for Microsoft Windows computers, though Activision has not officially confirmed this version.

While the game continues to feature the use of a guitar-shaped controller to simulate the playing of rock music, Guitar Hero World Tour is the first game in the Guitar Hero series to feature drum and microphone controllers for percussion and vocal parts. Gameplay is similar to the competing Rock Band series of games. The game allows users to create new songs through the "Music Studio" mode, allowing custom tracks to be created for drums, rhythm guitar, lead guitar and bass guitar (although vocal parts are omitted from this mode for technical and legal reasons). Players may upload and share their songs, as well as download others' songs through a service known as GHTunes.

The first food on my mind today....

Cream of Mushroom Soup

Ingredients

1 pound regular white mushrooms, cleaned, quartered or sliced
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp unsalted butter
2 Tbsp minced shallots
1 Tbsp chopped fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
2 cups heavy cream
1 1/2 cups chicken stock
1 teaspoon cornstarch dissolved in 1 Tbsp water
Minced parsley for garnish.

Method

1. In a food processor, coarsely chop mushrooms and lemon juice.

2. Melt butter in (4-5 quart) sauce pan and lightly sauté shallots on medium heat.
Add mushrooms, thyme and bay leaf, sauté over moderate heat for 10-15
minutes, or until the liquid that is released from the mushrooms disappears.

3. Add salt, pepper, cream and chicken stock and bring to boil. Reduce heat and
simmer for 20 minutes.

4. Add cornstarch and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
Correct seasoning and add more lemon juice to taste.

5. Serves 4. Serve sprinkled with a little parsley.

Lego Batman: The Video Game is a video game developed by Traveller's Tale. It was released on September 23, 2008 for the Playstation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable and Microsoft Windows. The game is based on a licensed property and have environments, objects and creatures made out of LEGO. Warner Bros. is handling the publishing, marketing and financing aspects.

A demo for the PC was released on October 17, 2008.
