Guy Paints TMNT Action Figures To Look Less Crappy

This is a gallery of TMNT action figures painted by John Harmon of Mint Condition Customs to look way better than they do when they originally come out of the packaging (currently available on eBay HERE). There are even some comparison shots after the jump so you can appreciate just how much nicer they look now.

Damn Yeah I Dressed Like Twitter: Social Media Outfits

These are some social media inspired outfits put together by B for Bel (previously: the superhero fashion collection). Can you tell what makes them inspired from the different social media sites? SPOILER: It's the colors. The colors are what does it. Plus the Pintrest outfit doubles as a Where's Waldo costume. If you're looking for something a little more high fashion, then look no further than the ensemble I picked out to wear today. "Athletic shorts and no shirt?" Yep! No underwear either. *thrust-dancing*

Bugasalt, A Salt-Shooting Gun For Downing Flying Insects

This is a promo video for Bugasalt, a plastic shotgun that shoots a pinch of salt to kill flying insects. Plus it's way funner than using a fly-swatter. Personally, I like to clap flies with my bare hands, but that's just me and I'm nasty and will make a sandwich immediately afterwards without washing.
A miniaturized shotgun effect is generated through this ingenious design. Ordinary table salt is utilized as a lethal projectile with accuracy range of 3 to 5 feet. Bugs will remain whole for easy clean up.
The gun is currently an Indiegogo crowd-funding project but already met its pledge goal. You can still preorder one for $30 though. Admittedly, I'll probably be picking one up. And not just because my apartment has a fly problem, but also for sandwich making. Can it also shoot pepper and other condiments? One blogger plans to find out!
Hit the jump for a worthwhile video of the thing in action. Mmmm, I love salt on my Jello!

Arsenal Asia Tour: Malaysia XI vs Arsenal 1-2

By Rob Kelly at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil

Late goals from Thomas Eisfeld and Chuks Aneke secured victory for Arsenal in the opening game of their tour against a dogged, dangerous Malaysia XI side.

Arsène Wenger’s side dominated possession and twice came close in the first half through Andre Santos. But right on the stroke of the interval they fell behind to a superb Mohamad Azmi Muslim strike from the edge of the area.

Now Let's Go Kill A Dragon!: Fantasy Styled Avengers

This is a series of Avengers characters (plus Loki) imagined in a fantasy style by DeviantARTist theDURRRRIAN (and not theDURRRRPIAN, which some of my frienemies like to call me because THEY'RE SHITBAGS -- you know who you are!). As you can see, they definitely look like a crew capable of rescuing a princess or slaying a dragon. Or, and I'm just throwing this out there, washing and detailing my car. Come on -- somebody wrote 'PEEN KING' in the dust on my back window!

LEGO Train Bridge Erected (Okay, Painted) In Germany

This is a German train bridge painted by street artist 'Megx' to look like it was constructed out of giant LEGO bricks. Sure it's not as impressive as a train bridge actually made out of LEGO blocks, but I imagine train passengers wouldn't be too thrilled about that. Except me. I actually would be thrilled about that. *lifts hands over head like on a rollercoaster* Choo-choo -- LET'S DO THIS THING!

Arsenal reveal away kit for 2012/13 season

Arsenal have revealed their new away kit, available to pre-order from Thursday, July 12, with the help of chart-topping pop duo, Rizzle Kicks.

The Gunners-supporting pair don the new strip, which combines a rich purple base with black hoops, in a viral that features the duo performing a track from their album Stereo Typical, ‘Demolition Man’.

The video (available on this page) also stars Gunners trio Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alex Song and Kieran Gibbs as they get their first taste of the new strip that the team will wear on the road next.

Rocking And Rolling: Motorcycle With Drum-Set Sidecar

This is a BMW touring bike with a sidecar drum set. Why? To rock while rolling. Actually I have no idea why, probably just because they could, which seems to be the only reason anybody does anything anymore. That, or to get high. *ahem* I'm looking at you, smoked banana peels -- you lied to me! I didn't feel anything except mushy stools for three days because I ate a dozen bananas in a sitting.

MUST SEE: Ultra-Creative Super Hero Kid Silhouettes

This is a series of illustrations by artist Andy Fairhurst of children's silhouettes as they pretend to be their favorite superheroes. They're awesome -- every single one (and there's 19!). Reminds me of when I was a kid on the school playground, swinging around on the tetherball rope pretending to be Spiderman. *sniffle* Nobody would ever play superheroes with me. "You weren't a very popular kid, were you?" You shit your pants in class ONE TIME.

Decorating With Squares: Tetris Shapes Pillow Set

This is a $280 Tetris shapes (tetrominos) pillow set from Etsy seller StarGallery. If you're really just hoping for the long stick one that's TOO DAMN BAD because they're only sold as a set. Thankfully, since my mom taught me how to sew like the little daughter she never had, I can make my own. Then start my own Etsy store and sell sets for $250, stealing all of StarGallery's business. "You're just gonna mail boxes filled with dirty towels, aren't you?" Read the sign. "Absolutely no refunds or exchanges." *wink*

A Lot With A Little: Minimalist LEGO Sci-Fi Movie Scenes

This is a worthwhile gallery of sci-fi movie scenes recreated with minimal LEGO pieces as part of the "Mi-Fi" contest run by The Living Brick. As you can see, everybody did a really amazing job. Me? I do a f***ing terrible job, which is why I've been fired eight times in the past six months. If I don't get my act together soon I'm gonna have to move cities just to find a place I haven't already worked. "You tried Taco Bell?" I quit when they asked me to clean the bathroom.

Rifle Disassembles, Stores Entirely In Waterproof Stock

This is a new model of Henry Repeating Arms .22-caliber AR-7 that can be disassembled and stored in its waterproof buttstock. And speaking of buttstocks *shakin' that ass with a knee-high wedged between buttcheeks* "GW? That's a buttsock." I love puns! You think if I drew ears on my cheeks I could pass for an elephant? The rifle only costs $270, which, from a guy who knows nothing about gun prices except what he's learned from video games, seems pretty decent. Sure a .22 doesn't really have that much stopping power, but let's not kid ourselves, you weren't gonna hit whatever you were aiming for anyways. Your best bet is hoping the BANG scared it off.

Thanks to mandrake, who prefers a good ol' fashioned battle-axe to ranged weapons because...actually, I don't know why. Maybe he was a dwarf-warrior in a previous life.

Babe Of The Month 07/12: Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Claire Deschanel (born January 17, 1980) is an American actress, musician, and singer-songwriter. In 1999, Deschanel made her film debut in Mumford, followed by her breakout role as young protagonist William Miller's troubled older sister Anita in Cameron Crowe's 2000 semi-autobiographical film Almost Famous. Deschanel soon became known for her deadpan and "Manic Pixie Dream Girl" supporting roles in films such as Elf (2003), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005), Failure to Launch (2006), Bridge to Terabithia (2007) Happening, TheThe Happening (2008), Yes Man (2008), and (500) Days of Summer (2009). She currently stars in the Fox series New Girl. She has been nominated for Golden Globe and Grammy Awards.
