Custom made Hancock Action Figure...envy the art

Another one for the day. My favorite alcoholic superhero, Hancock :D. Made from an ML2 Punisher head, ML6 Punisher upper half, and a DCUC lower half.

The bottle was once a missile from the weapons bin. He's sporting the "bonnet-shades-Nike-jacket" look. Had a lot of fun playing with this guy :). Hope you like him as much as I do. A lot more pics available once you enter the thread. God bless.

Man Of Steel? More Like Boy Of Tin!: Superman's Questionable New Look

Superman just got a makeover for an upcoming graphic novel about his youth and now looks like the kind of sad emo kid that would steal eyeliner from the beauty department at Target. But you used to be so super!

The new Superman will appear in "Superman: Earth One," a graphic novel by writer J. Michael Straczynski and artist Shane Davis that retells the superhero's origin story. While the iconic superhero retains his dark mane and defined six pack, he now has a decidedly more emo vibe -- pale, leaner, and brooding. (No need to get too worked up, Superman loyalists: This new graphic novel series doesn't replace the original comics, but rather will serve as a "reinterpretation" of his younger years.)

The Superhero Universe seems to have been increasingly influenced by what could be termed the "Twilight Effect," as Wonder Woman was given a similarly "edgy" makeover in June when her "bustier and hotpants" were traded out for a blue biker jacket and a trendy new hair style.

In the words of the New York Post, the new Man of Steel "wears hoodies" and "has smoldering eyes"; and as Clark Kent, he wears low-cut pants and skinny ties.

Carling Cup: Newcastle Utd vs Arsenal 0-4

England international Theo Walcott cemented Arsenal's place in the Carling Cup quarter-finals with a fine double as Newcastle's luck deserted them.

The Gunners surged into a 2-0 lead courtesy of an unfortunate Tim Krul own goal and a controversial second from Walcott to condemn the Magpies to a third defeat in four attempts at St James' Park.

If there was a touch of misfortune about the opening goal in first-half injury time - Ryan Taylor's defensive header hit the unwitting Krul and dropped into the net - there was more than a hint of injustice about the second when Nicklas Bendtner, who had run from an offside position, collided with Mike Williamson as he attempted to get to Walcott.

But Bendtner's 83rd-minute strike and Walcott's finish two minutes from time oozed class as the Gunners powered their way into the last eight.

Alan Smith had earlier hit the bar as the home side recovered from a whirlwind start by the visitors, but the home fans among a crowd of 33,157 left knowing their team had been out-played and hoping for a very different result on Sunday when arch-rivals Sunderland make the short trip to Tyneside in the Premier League.

Hughton, who went into the game with speculation over his future once again rife, had made no secret of the fact that the Carling Cup was little more than a pleasant distraction during a season in which the only objective is top-flight survival.

In the circumstances, it was little surprise that he rested nine of the men who fought out a 2-1 win at West Ham on Saturday evening with one eye on the weekend.

Arsene Wenger made the same number of changes, but the relative strengths of the respective squads was made abundantly clear when the Frenchman was still able to name the likes of Laurent Koscielny, Denilson, Walcott and Tomas Rosicky in his starting line-up.

Wenger has given the competition a higher priority this season and his side could have been all but in the last eight within five madcap minutes of a thrilling first-half.

Carlos Vela forced a save from Krul within 22 seconds of kick-off, and the Dutchman was in action again with five minutes gone to deny Bendtner, who had already seen Williamson block two efforts from the Dane.

In the meantime, Newcastle midfielder Haris Vuckic had shot into the side-netting, and as the half wore on, the Magpies started to come into the game.

Indeed, they could have taken the lead themselves with 14 minutes gone with the visitors' goal coming under intense pressure.

First Nile Ranger ran on to Danny Guthrie's ball over the top and rounded keeper Wojciech Szczesny, only for Koscielny to block his shot.

But Arsenal failed to clear their lines and when the ball fell to Smith 25 yards out, he unleashed a thunderbolt which looked destined for the back of the net - he is yet to score a competitive goal for the club - until Szczesny managed to tip it on to the bar.

As the game settled down, Newcastle were repeatedly at full stretch, but coping as they worked hard to close down space in midfield and plug the gaps at the back.

Bendtner twice shot straight at Krul and Emmanuel Eboue fired wastefully into the side-netting during the closing minutes of the half, and it looked like the sides would go in level at the break.

But with only seconds of added time remaining, the home side's luck deserted them. They half-cleared Walcott's corner, but when Rosicky helped the ball back into the danger area, Bendtner headed towards goal, where Taylor's attempted clearance hit Krul and rebounded into the net.

Newcastle went close to an equaliser four minutes after the restart when Ranger's persistence forced Koscielny to concede a corner. James Perch met Guthrie's set-piece with a firm header, but guided the ball just over.

But their hopes were dashed when the Gunners extended their lead in controversial fashion with 53 minutes gone. Walcott ran on to John Djourou's defensive header from an on-side position, but Bendtner, who had been offside, appeared to block Williamson as he attempted to cover across.

However, referee Andre Marriner allowed play to continue and Walcott calmly chipped Krul to make it 2-0 with Newcastle protests counting for nothing.

Ryan Taylor might have pulled one back eight minutes of time, but was denied by Szczesny from point-blank range, but Bendtner made sure seconds later with a fine right-foot finish.

Szczesny clawed away Taylor's 86th-minute free-kick to deny Newcastle any reward for their efforts, and Walcott wrapped up the win with a pacy run and finish two minutes later.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes Theo Walcott is ready to ''go to another level'' after his double helped the Gunners to a 4-0 win in their Carling Cup fourth-round tie at Newcastle.

''Walcott is more composed in front of goal this season. His first touch is better. He is an intelligent boy and because of that he will always improve,'' Wenger told Sky Sports 2.

''He was flying at the start of the season and now he is just coming back from injury. You can see today that he is ready to go to another level.''

Wenger added: ''You are always happy when your strikers score. They got through the game without injury and now physically they have a couple of days to recover. I'm glad they both got through the 90 minutes.''

Arsenal's night was soured by a knee injury to full-back Kieran Gibbs, who went off before the break with a knee complaint. Asked if it was serious, Wenger said: ''We hope not. It's a knee, we hope its not a twist of medial ligament. I'm cautious. The way he walks now doesn't look too good.''

Walcott believes Arsenal will end their five-year wait for a trophy if they can continue to produce the same type of performance that saw off a Newcastle side that beat Chelsea in the previous round.

''People may say that this is a Mickey Mouse cup, but we want to win trophies,'' he said. ''We want to look back on the trophies we have won in our career. At the moment it's none, but if we keep playing like that I'm sure it will come.''

He added: ''I've come back from some long injuries before and it's nice to get some game time again. It's nice to be back playing with lads.''

Spring-loaded sneaker gets banned from the NBA

Meet the second sneaker to get banned from the NBA: the Athletic Propulsion Lab Concept 1. The first one was the Air Jordan I — banned over 25 years ago. Not everyone can be like Michael Jordan, leaping over everyone and driving it to the hoop. With the ban on the sneaker, the NBA is going to make sure the game stays fair.

The sneaker was banned because of its seizure-inducing green color. Okay, I made that part up, but the APLC1 was banned because it contains a "spring-based system that is designed to increase vertical lift." ACPL1's can provide air of up to 3.5-inches more than regular sneakers. Sounds like moon boots to me.

The NBA provided the following statement, "under league rules, players may not wear any shoe during a game that creates an undue competitive advantage."

Athletic Propulsion Lab co-founder Adam Goldston said that he was not shocked to hear the NBA decided to ban his company's sneaker. Well, no duh — you can't hide sneakers that help you cheat.

Female College Student Builds TMNT Van

23-year old Brittney Schneck went and built herself a Ninja Turtle Party Van out of an old POS '94 Dodge Caravan. Michelangelo is impressed. Also, sucking straight from the exhaust pipe cause I told him it'd get him high. Haha -- APRIL IS MINE!

"The Turtles played a huge role in my childhood," Schneck said. "Growing up with all my male cousins, playing Ninja Turtles while my Uncle Harry (Uncle Shredder) chased us around doing an exact voice of The Shredder. He used to drive us all around in his Caravan [GW's Note: CREEPY UNCLE IS CREEPY], and when I see one, I just think of the Turtles and all the memories."

Schneck hand-painted and stenciled the exterior colors and fabricated the ray gun, spoiler and other add-ons from scratch. It's not just cosmetic craft; Schneck has rebuilt and replaced most of the Caravan's mechanical parts, from a new radiator, brakes, axles and head gasket down to a clip for the hood prop rod, color-matched to the paint scheme that extends to the engine bay.

EPL: Manchester City vs Arsenal 0-3

Samir Nasri, Alex Song and Nicklas Bendtner were on target as Arsenal struck a blow for the old guard against 10-man Manchester City, triumphing 3-0 at Eastlands.

City had been looking to reclaim second place in the Premier League but hopes of a fifth successive win were all but dashed with the early sending off of Dedryck Boyata.

Nasri put the Gunners ahead 20 minutes into a fiery contest and although Joe Hart kept City in contention with a penalty save from Cesc Fabregas, Song and Bendtner finished them off.

Victory lifted Arsenal back into the top four, above City on goal difference, and contradicted recent criticism of the Londoners' record against their perceived title rivals.

The momentum all appeared to be with City prior to the match, which was preceded by a memorial service and minute's applause for their late manager Malcolm Allison.

Carlos Tevez was back to lead the City line while Emmanuel Adebayor, despite a midweek hat-trick, was left on the bench against his former club.

And the hosts appeared in a rush to impress as Boyata, starting ahead of Joleon Lescott, released Tevez with a superb ball down the right after one minute.

Tevez raced beyond the defence and into the area but David Silva failed to make firm contact with his ball into the middle and Lukasz Fabianski saved his scuffed shot.

Tevez then set Micah Richards free down the right but this time Bacary Sagna slid in to deal with the cross.

Yet no sooner had City started to look dominant than Boyata, as the last man, was sent off for bringing down Marouane Chamakh as he raced onto a Fabregas ball.

Mark Clattenburg took time to consider his verdict but showed a straight red card. After that it became clear Clattenburg was in for a tough afternoon as the tackles started to fly in.

He booked Denilson for a late challenge on Tevez but showed restraint after Nigel de Jong felled Fabregas Gareth Barry was shown a yellow card for fouling the Spaniard but Song escaped such punishment for a bad tackle on Silva.

In terms of chances, City had the next when Tevez mishit a shot at Fabianski but Johan Djourou then headed over from a Sagna cross.

The opening goal came after 20 minutes as Nasri played a one-two with Andrey Arshavin on the edge of the box and clipped the ball over Joe Hart.

Fabregas, still being given close attention by City, was booked himself after tangling with De Jong. City responded by again attacking down the right as James Milner played Richards through.

Arsenal struggled to get back but were relieved as Richards checked back onto his left foot and screwed his shot wide. Song and Djourou also went into Clattenburg's notebook before the break after challenges on Silva and Tevez respectively.

The game refused to settle down and Clattenburg was called upon again as Vincent Kompany recklessly lunged in on Fabregas just inside the area. A penalty was the obvious outcome but Hart kept City in the game with a brilliant save from Fabregas' spot-kick.

Fabregas had another opportunity early in the second half after combining well with Chamakh and Nasri but his first-time shot was weak and easily saved by Hart.

City boss Roberto Mancini decided to make a bold change after 52 minutes, gambling on the determination of Adebayor to impress and removing usual talisman Tevez.

An intricate move saw Milner feed Silva inside the box and the Spaniard's curving right-foot shot was brilliantly tipped wide by Fabianski. Adebayor had a chance from the resulting corner but Fabianski's presence forced him to direct his header over.

Arshavin then drilled a shot straight at Hart from 20 yards as Arsenal continued to push. Song finished City off in the 66th minute when he grabbed an opportunistic second for the visitors.

Wayne Bridge had blocked a Fabregas pass intended for Chamakh but the ball ran loose and Song, unchallenged, pounced to smash it into the top corner.

Adebayor raised City fans' spirits when he forced a fine save from Fabianski with a firm header but a flag had already been raised for offside.

There was a stoppage 15 minutes from time when an object appeared to be thrown from the crowd as Arsenal prepared to take a corner.

Substitute Bendtner put the result beyond any doubt five minutes from time when he raced clear and finished from a tight angle. Fit-again £23 million signing Mario Balotelli went close to a late consolation when he forced Fabianksi to tip over.

Neoned Up to Tha MAX: Tron/Marvel Comic Book Mashups

From the trailers to the posters to the merchandise to the comic book tie-ins and to the Daft Punk score, we are in 100% approval of absolutely everything we've seen and heard in advance of "Tron: Legacy," the increasingly anticipated sequel to the cult classic Disney film from 1981. The "Legacy" aesthetic is so pleasing, we can even forgive new Disney subsidiary Marvel Comics for totally Tronning the f*ck out with a series of wholly superfluous variant covers created in the Tron style, because they are just that awesome.

These variant covers, created by Mark Brooks Brandon Peterson, will roll out in November with select Marvel Comics titles: "Aamazing Spider-Man" #651, "Avengers" #7, "Avengers Academy" #7, "Captain America" #612, "Incredible Hulks" #618, "Invincible Iron Man" #33, "New Avengers" #7, "Secret Avengers" #7, "Thor" #617 and "Wolverine" #4.

CL: Arsenal vs Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas returned from injury to help the Gunners all but secure their place in the last 16 of the Champions League with a 5-1 romp against Group H rivals Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Ukrainians had brought an impressive record to Emirates Stadium, defending a 100% return so far in Europe, not to mention 15 wins from 17 games at home.

However, Arsenal made them look ordinary, barely getting out of second gear as Alex Song was gifted an early goal following a terrible fumble by Shakhtar keeper Andrei Pyatov - and Arsene Wenger's men never looked back.

In-form winger Samir Nasri smashed home his second goal in three days to make it 2-0 before the break, with Fabregas' spot-kick ending the game as a contest on the hour while Jack Wilshere and Marouane Chamakh completing the rout.

Croatia striker Eduardo, sold during the summer, netted a fine consolation goal on the return to his former club with seven minutes left, which brought a round of applause from the home fans.

Arsenal now head out to Donetsk in a fortnight knowing a point from their remaining three matches, one at home, would probably secure a top-two finish.

The Gunners had already chalked up some nine goals in the Champions League, hitting new boys Braga for six in their opening match.

However, it was not expected to be an easy ride against the Ukrainian champions, who had lost only one of their last 26 matches in all competitions.

Following the anticipated cagey start, Arsenal created an opening when Fabregas - out since mid-September with a hamstring problem - floated the ball just over Chamakh.

Shakhtar, however, were breaking up play well in midfield before defender Razvan Rat sent a 25-yard effort wide.

Arsenal then took the lead on 19 minutes with a scrappy goal, following a terrible error by the Shakhtar goalkeeper. Pyatov was under no pressure when he came to collect a corner, but contrived to drop the ball in the six-yard box.

Emmanuel Eboue reacted quickly to stab the loose ball goalwards, which Song flicked on, before Olexander Kucher's clearance ricocheted back off the Cameroon midfielder and over the line.

Nasri almost made it 2-0 moments later with a long-range effort which flew straight at Pyatov and this time the Shakhtar keeper just about held on.

Wilshere - serving a three-match domestic suspension after his much-talked about red card against Birmingham - was late with a challenge on Tomas Hubschman which left the Shakhtar midfielder in a heap. However, Norwegian referee Svein Oddvar Moen deemed a stern lecture the only action needed.

Shakhtar had a couple of long-range efforts which failed to hit the target.

It proved costly as Arsenal doubled their lead on 42 minutes.

Eboue and Song worked the ball down the right, before the midfielder sent a cross into the penalty area, which deflected through to Nasri on the far side.

The in-form French winger sidestepped Darijo Srna before smashing the ball past Pyatov.

Shakhtar could have reduced the deficit at the start of the second half when Song lost possession and Henrik Mkhitaryan fed Luis Adriano, who sprinted into the box, but Lukasz Fabianski made a smart save.

Arsenal were then gifted a third goal from the penalty spot on the hour after Adriano had wrestled Johan Djourou to the ground.

Fabregas stepped up to smash the ball into the top-left corner - and lifted up his shirt to reveal a Catalan birthday message for his mum. With the job done, the Spanish World Cup winner was given a rest as Brazil youngster Denilson came on.

There was then a standing ovation from the home fans as Eduardo - who had battled back from an horrific broken leg and dislocated ankle at Birmingham in February 2008 - was introduced for Adriano.

It was exhibition stuff from Arsenal now, as Chamakh and Tomas Rosicky exchanged passes to release Wilshere into the area, and he chipped in number four on 66 minutes.

Morocco striker Chamakh then sprang the offside trap, played on by the full-back, to slot home his sixth goal of the campaign.

With 20 minutes left, Arsenal sent on Andrey Arshavin and Theo Walcott - making his first appearance since injuring ankle ligaments when paying for England during September.

But perhaps fittingly it was Eduardo who had the final say, volleying home a well-taken effort in the closing stages, which he did not celebrate while receiving applause from the home fans.

EPL: Arsenal vs Birmingham City 2-1

Arsenal got their Premier League campaign back on track with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Birmingham - but had Jack Wilshere sent off in stoppage time for a rash challenge.

The Blues took a shock lead through Nikola Zigic after 33 minutes as once again the Gunners - who had lost their past two league games before the international break - failed to make the most of early possession.

However, Samir Nasri levelled with a somewhat controversial penalty just before half-time, before Marouane Chamakh slotted home a well-taken effort two minutes after the restart which proved enough for all three points.

The win was soured late on, however, when England teenager Wilshere showed his immaturity with a reckless challenge on Zigic which earned him a straight red and a three-match ban.

Defeat at Chelsea last time out had left Arsenal some seven points off the pace, and manager Arsene Wenger had called on his team to produce a strong response from kick-off.

It was almost that as Chamakh went close after just four minutes following a neat one-two with Wilshere on the edge of Birmingham's box, but Stephen Carr blocked his side-foot effort.

Arsenal suffered a shock 3-2 defeat against West Brom in their previous match here last month - and there was more frustration for the home supporters during the first quarter-of-an-hour following some resolute defending by Birmingham.

On 17 minutes, Sebastien Squillaci headed in Samir Nasri's chipped free-kick from the right wing, but the offside flag was quickly up.

Arsenal were presented another golden opportunity on 24 minutes when a soft back pass from former Arsenal midfielder Sebastian Larsson in his own penalty area gifted Gael Clichy a free shot at goal from 10 yards, but the full-back dragged his shot wide of the far post.

Gunners goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski had not really been troubled, but needed to be alert to collect an inadvertent backward header from Emmanuel Eboue, which was set for the top corner, after a free-kick into the Arsenal box.

The Blues, however, continued to look dangerous from set-pieces and it was no real surprise when the visitors went ahead after 33 minutes. A throw-in was fed back to Keith Fahey, and his sweeping cross was met by Zigic, who got up above Johan Djourou to power a header back into the bottom corner for the Serbian's first Premier League goal.

Birmingham almost snatched a second when Roger Johnson knocked the ball back across the six-yard box, but Fahey blazed over as he got in the way of Zigic.

Arsenal were then handed a lifeline five minutes before the break when Scott Dann clipped Chamakh's trailing leg and referee Martin Atkinson pointed to the spot. Nasri made no mistake as he crashed in his fifth goal of the season.

The French winger, though, was soon in the referee's book for barging at Liam Ridgewell, although replays suggested the card could easily have been red after leading with his knee.

Tempers were boiling over as half-time approached, with Blues skipper Carr involved in a heated exchange with the Arsenal bench and Chamakh looked to be on the receiving end of an elbow from Johnson, but it went unpunished.

If there was a touch of controversy about Chamakh's involvement in the equaliser, the Morocco striker produced the perfect response as he put Arsenal ahead just two minutes after the restart. Wilshere played the ball into the left side of the penalty area, where Chamakh ghosted past Carr before holding off Dann as he rounded the goalkeeper to roll home his fifth goal from a tight angle.

Arsenal soon settled into their usual passing rhythm, as Birmingham suddenly found themselves chasing possession for long spells, but were again guilty of taking too many touches around the box when a more direct approach was required.

Wilshere did just that when charging into the left side of the penalty area before drilling an angled drive over. Both substitute Tomas Rosicky and Nasri tested Foster from distance while the introduction of Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner for his first appearance of the season gave Arsenal a different option.

But Wilshere's red card left a bad taste in the mouth after he went in late on Zigic moments before the final whistle.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted Jack Wilshere deserved his late red card against Birmingham.

Wilshere showed a degree of immaturity with a reckless challenge on Zigic in the closing stages which earned him a straight red.

Wenger had talked about the need to clamp down on such tackles in his programme notes, and accepted the 18-year-old could have little complaint.

"He mistimed his tackled and got a red card, which he deserved,'' the Arsenal manager said. "Jack has acknowledged he deserved it, but he did not spend his whole game trying to kick people, he was one of the best players on the pitch today.

"It was more of frustration and did not want to hurt the player, but we do not complain about the red card.''

I'll eat it off your ears - Cheeseburger Phone

Yes, you can has our Cheeseburger Phone! It’s like someone forgot about a warehouse full of these phones back in 86 and now they’re hot again! Easy switch from Tone to Pulse dialing (kids, just humor us for a minute) because some people liked waiting that extra minute for the phone number to go through. Seriously, Pulse? 8, dit-dit-dit-dit-dit-dit-dit-dit 3, dit-dit-dit 2, dit-dit. We’ll be putting our phone on pulse just to annoy the kids!

The phone opens and closes like a clam shell for easy access and features pause, flash, and redial buttons. Hey, did we mention that this is a phone that looks like a cheeseburger? Faux sesame seeds adorn the top of the phone while the interior has a plastic beef patty and slice of cheese. It’s definitely “totally rad” to have the Cheeseburger Phone!

Where’s the beef?!? Corded. Measures 2.5 inches tall x 4 inch diameter.

Sesame Street Knitwits! Which Character Are You?

What a perfect way to cheat a Halloween costume! Buy both Burt and Erine, give one to a friend, and together you can be Burt and Ernie for Halloween. Or just get any other character on your own (:

Your Sesame Street friends will keep you warm in the winter time and can also make gloomy days a little bit brighter. I can't tell if these are meant for kids or adults because even though they're really cute, I don't think I could see myself wearing them all the time. I would wear them maybe a few times for a school theme day or like Halloween, but normal days it might just be too much.

inflatable copies of planes, tanks and missiles to fool enemies

The Russian Defence Ministry has ordered elaborate inflatable copies of its most ubiquitous planes, tanks and missiles at a cost of almost £2,000 per model to fool its enemies in future conflicts.

The purchase has drawn sharp criticism from military analysts, who say the Kremlin should be spending its oil wealth on buying real military hardware rather than rubber copies.

"Inflatable military hardware is most effective in conflict situations when there is a need to confuse the enemy," the daily Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper argued on Tuesday.

"But at a time of peace, duping foreign intelligence networks with such expensive toys is a questionable luxury."

Alexander Talanov, the director of the scientific research centre that makes the rubber models, told state TV that the defence ministry was particularly keen on acquiring more copies of the truck-mounted Soviet-era S-300 surface-to-air missile system.

He said such models were designed to fool satellite and air reconnaissance and that the United States and China had invested heavily in replicas of their own hardware.

The precise number of rubber models ordered by Russia's defence ministry is a military secret, but the inflatable missiles are expected to be ready by the end of next year.

Russian designers boast that the tanks can be inflated in just four minutes, while replicas of missile systems take only five minutes to set up.

The models are allegedly indistinguishable from the real thing from as little as 350 feet away. The controversial shopping spree comes as Russia rushes to upgrade 75 per cent of its real military hardware by 2020.
