But I Like It Sour: Fancy Jug Detects Bad Milk

The Cravendale (personally, I'm Cravenchip) milk jug can detect sour milk.

The technology used in the jug was discovered by the company's R&D team while researching the bacteria that actually turns milk sour, and is essentially a unique PH sensor that's built into its base. When sour milk is detected, a small LCD display on the outside of the jug changes from 'Fresh' to 'Sour'.

But Can You Huff It?: Edible Gold Spray Paint

Getting kids to eat food that's good for them is never easy, but what if those Brussels sprouts actually looked like solid gold nuggets? That's the thinking behind Esslack, an edible food paint from Germany. You simply spray it onto whatever chow you want add some bling to, and it suddenly looks like a gilded table decoration. Of course you'll probably want an equally fancy table to complete the look.

Available in both silver and gold, this looks like a great idea if you have fussy kids, even though the effect might not work more than once.

Oil And Antifreeze: New 'Iron Man' Cologne

Diesel, looking for a way to cash in on the upcoming Iron Man sequel, decided cologne was the way to go.

Diesel's hoping you'll splash a little of this beneath your breastplate before donning your armor (or climbing into your office cubicle, whatever the case may be) in celebration of "the season's most daring, fearless, courageous hero."

And, with any luck, the scent (which remains unchanged), with its "top notes of lemon blossom, mandarin and coriander leaves, a heart of labdanum, black rose and lavender, and a dry down of amber, tolu wood and ebony wood" will find olfactory favor with Pepper Potts over in accounting.

EPL: Birmingham City 1-1 Arsenal

Kevin Phillips dented Arsenal's title hopes with a dramatic late equaliser at St Andrew's as Birmingham fought back to earn a 1-1 draw.

Samir Nasri had come off the bench to fire the Gunners in front 10 minutes from time.

But Blues substitute Phillips enjoyed a stroke of luck in injury-time as the ball looped off him and over Manuel Almunia to level.

Arsene Wenger was greeted with boos from the Birmingham fans as he made his way along the touchline to the Arsenal dug-out, still disgruntled by his reaction to Martin Taylor's challenge on Eduardo which badly broke the Gunners striker's leg in 2008.

The Gunners began in confident fashion against a Blues side unbeaten at home since late September.

Tomas Rosicky won the first corner of the game but skipper Cesc Fabregas' centre was held comfortably by Blues keeper Joe Hart.

Birmingham midfielder Craig Gardner was high and wide with a 20 yard drive after a James McFadden free-kick had only been half cleared.

Theo Walcott then appealed optimistically for a penalty after a challenge from Liam Ridgewell and referee Howard Webb waved play on.

McFadden showed good skill in creating a yard of space just outside the Arsenal box but he dragged his powerful drive a couple of yards past the post.

The visitors knocked the ball around in trademark style although the final decisive ball was lacking in the opening quarter of an hour.

Alex Song became the first player to be yellow carded after 16 minutes for bringing down McFadden, who had made an impressive start to the game.

Hart made the first meaningful save of the game a minute later when he came quickly off his line to block a shot from Walcott after he had raced onto a long ball from Fabregas.

Gael Clichy was booked after 24 minutes for a foul on Craig Gardner.

This resulted in an unhappy Wenger exchanging words with the fourth official Anthony Taylor.

Jerome brought a save out of Almunia with a low 25-yard drive.

The former Cardiff striker then burst into the box but toe-poked a weak shot straight at Almunia when under pressure from Sol Campbell.

Wenger was becoming increasingly animated but the home side were more than holding their own against their title-chasing opponents.

Arsenal started the second half on the offensive and Hart saved a drive from Rosicky away to his right.

Then Abou Diaby made a good break into the City box but sent his shot straight at Hart.

Back came Blues and Barry Ferguson only just failed to connect with a ball into the near post from Gardner.

Then, after 63 minutes, City defender Scott Dann was guilty of one of the misses of the season.

Ferguson's free-kick was met by Roger Johnson, whose shot back across goal at full stretch hit the post.

The rebound fell to Dann barely two yards out but he somehow contrived to put the ball over the bar off his thigh.

Wenger made a double change with Samir Nasri and Andrey Arshavin replacing Rosicky and Walcott respectively.

Nasri was quickly involved in testing Hart with a low drive after being teed up by Arshavin.

Ferguson was then booked for a challenge on Nasri before the same player finally broke the deadlock 10 minutes from time.

He was allowed time to cut in from the right and his low drive flew past the dive of Hart into the far corner of the net.

Gardner was booked for a foul on Diaby and Carr for bringing down Arshavin.

But just as Arsenal looked set for a vital win, substitute Phillips snatched a dramatic equaliser in injury time.

Phillips battled for the ball with Bacary Sagna, who kicked it into the the former Sunderland striker's face and Almunia could only get a hand to it as it ballooned into the net for a dramatic equaliser.

Well It's About Time: Chainable USB Plugs

Here's another one of those dead-simple ideas that makes you wonder just how it's taken this long for someone to have it: USB plugs that are able to be chained together, sharing one USB port among multiple devices.

Sure, this will work only to a point where you have a ludicrous stack of USB plugs, but for a small number of devices this is a genius solution. The plugs are even color-coded, so you can tell which belongs to what device. Clever stuff! Now let's just see it move from the concept phase into reality.

Rubik's cubes are awful, frustrating objects. Sure, if you like a challenge I'm sure there's some fun to be had there, but to me, they're just pure pain. And this Rubik's cube for the blind? Forget it.

But this wasn't made for me, it was made for the visually impaired. And if they really want to enter this world of pain and frustration, that's their prerogative. Just don't say I didn't warn you.

CL - It maybe an All English Final.

Arsenal face Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals, while Manchester United meet Bayern Munich - and it may be an all-English final.

In the last eight, the Gunners must take on tournament favourites and holders Barca in a repeat of the 2006 final following Friday's draw in Nyon.

United will go up against Bayern, a repeat of the 1999 final. Sir Alex Ferguson's men beat the German giants in dramatic fashion at the Nou Camp 11 years ago, scoring twice in the dying minutes to complete an historic Treble.

United thrashed AC Milan in the previous round and will be confident of progressing to the semis, where they will face the winner of the all-French clash between Lyon and Bordeaux.

United will be at home in the second leg, but Arsenal are at home first to Barcelona.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will no doubt have wanted to avoid Barca, but Cesc Fabregas will relish playing against his former club, with whom he is often linked with a return. The tie also sees Gunners legend Thierry Henry take on his former employers.

The winner of that tie will face either Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan - who knocked out Chelsea earlier this week - or CSKA Moscow in the semi-finals.

Quarter-finals: First-leg ties:

Tuesday March 30: Bayern Munich v Manchester United, Lyon v Bordeaux.
Wednesday March 31: Arsenal v Barcelona, Inter Milan v CSKA Moscow.

Second-leg ties:

Tuesday April 6: Barcelona v Arsenal, CSKA Moscow v Inter Milan.
Wednesday April 7: Manchester United v Bayern, Bordeaux v Lyon.

Semi-finals: First-leg ties:

Tuesday April 20: Inter Milan or CSKA Moscow v Arsenal or Barcelona.
Wednesday April 21: Bayern Munich or Manchester United v Lyon or Bordeaux.

Second-leg ties:

Tuesday April 27: Lyon or Bordeaux v Bayern Munich or Manchester United.

Wednesday April 28: Arsenal or Barcelona v Inter Milan or CSKA Moscow.

The final will take place at the Bernabeu stadium in Madrid on Saturday, May 22.

EPL: Arsenal 2-0 West Ham United

Denilson and Cesc Fabregas were on target as 10-man Arsenal moved top of the Premier League after a 2-0 win over West Ham at Emirates Stadium.

Denilson fired the home side into an early lead before Thomas Vermaelen saw red for a professional foul shortly before break - although Manuel Almunia came to his rescue with a fine save from the resultant penalty.

Gianfranco Zola's men probed for an equaliser in the second period but Arsenal, who leapfrogged Chelsea and Manchester United in the table, wrapped up the points with a late Fabregas penalty.

Denilson fired the Gunners in front after only five minutes, playing a neat one-two with Nicklas Bendtner on the edge of the box before expertly finding the bottom corner of Robert Green's goal.

The Hammers almost produced an immediate response when Alessandro Diamanti's curling free-kick flew just over the bar, while Junior Stanislas tested Almunia from distance.

The home side were reduced to 10 men, however, on the stroke of half-time when Vermaelen tangled with Guillermo Franco in the area. The Gunners defender was last man and saw red but Alessandro Diamanti's subsequent penalty was brilliantly saved by Almunia.

Andrei Arshavin headed over at the start of the second period, while Sol Campbell was also denied by Green as Arsene Wenger's men looked for the cushion of a second goal.

Hammers substitute Benni McCarthy powered a header over the bar with 14 minutes to go and Carlton Cole was desperately unlucky to see a 25-yarder clip the outside of the post.

But the points were wrapped up with seven minutes to go when Matthew Upson handled in the area and Fabregas stepped up to notch his 18th goal of the season to send the Gunners top.

EPL: Hull City 1-2 Arsenal

Nicklas Bendtner struck in stoppage time as Arsenal kept pace with Chelsea at the top of the Premier League with a 2-1 win over 10-man Hull.

The title-chasing Gunners went in front when Andrey Arshavin prodded in after 14 minutes but Jimmy Bullard levelled with a penalty after 28 minutes following a clumsy Sol Campbell challenge on Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink.

Arsenal struggled to break down Hull following the 45th-minute dismissal of George Boateng - but Bendtner earned a fifth straight win by netting after Denilson's swerving shot was tamely parried by Boaz Myhill.

Arsenal were far from their fluid best - illustrated in the 5-0 Champions League win over Porto in midweek - but Hull must be given credit for disrupting the visitors' rhythm and were ultimately unlucky to suffer a fourth straight loss.

The Tigers remain in the relegation zone with nine games remaining.

Bullard was retained in the starting XI and Nick Barmby dropped to the bench in one of six changes made by manager Phil Brown in the wake of the 5-1 humiliation at Everton.

The two City midfielders were this week involved in an altercation in front of members of the Women's Institute near the Humber Bridge.

Captain Cesc Fabregas was still absent for the Gunners and his playmaking ability was missed.
Jozy Altidore flashed a right-footed shot from 20 yards wide after turning Campbell early on before Vennegoor of Hesselink nearly got on the end of Bullard's chip forward.

The burly City forward pairing were clearly drafted in to get physical with Campbell and Thomas Vermaelen from the start, but Arsenal's defensive duo stood firm and the visitors pounced on the break after 14 minutes.

Having scored three in the 5-0 midweek win, it was no surprise to see Bendtner involved in the opener.

The Dane found Arshavin with a pass across the edge of the box and the Russian stumbled through attempted tackles from Boateng and Bernard Mendy before prodding beyond Myhill.

Hull equalised from the spot after Campbell was adjudged to have hauled down Vennegoor of Hesselink.

Dean Marney's ball was flicked on by Craig Fagan to the Dutchman, who appeared to be in an offside position, but Campbell's attempted tackle led referee Andre Marriner to point to the spot.

Bullard stepped up and converted into the top corner.

Campbell was booked and City's Andy Dawson followed for a late tackle on Denilson.

Boateng and Bendtner were yellow carded for an exchange in the aftermath of the foul in scenes reminiscent of a fracas which saw the teams fined following their last meeting in December.

Gael Clichy forged forward down the left and went down in the area under a challenge of Boateng, but found himself booked retrospectively for a dive in a frantic final few moments of the first half.

And Boateng was soon walking off prematurely after a high challenge on Sagna saw the Hull captain dismissed for a second yellow.

The numerical disadvantage forced Brown into a reshuffle, with Altidore moving wide and Vennegoor of Hesselink going it alone up front.

But in a scrappy opening to the second half, Kamil Zayatte was fouled by Campbell and had to go off moments later.

Arsenal encountered stern resistance and Bullard attempted to relieve the pressure for 10-man Hull only to see his 25-yard drive go over.

Arsene Wenger introduced Theo Walcott and the England international's pace had an immediate impact.

He soared through on the right, cut back for Samir Nasri and Arshavin ballooned the ball over.

Arshavin and Walcott combined to gift Bendtner an opportunity, but the striker's poor effort was blocked and looped out for a corner.

Walcott then had a half chance from Arshavin's pull back but could not connect.

Altidore was withdrawn for Kevin Kilbane late on and Hull put men behind the ball to frustrate Arsenal.

There were six minutes of stoppage time and the visitors threw men forward.

Clichy had a shot from wide on the left, but Myhill was fully behind it.

The Tigers stopper could only block a swerving effort from Denilson soon after, but Bendtner reacted first to break the hosts' resistance and earn the Gunners a valuable win.

Nike Introduces 2010 National Team Kits

Nike unveiled the new World Cup 2010 national team kits with several footballers at a global media event at Battersea Power Station in London.

Many of the world's leading players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Robinho and Ji-Sung Park will take to the pitch in South Africa this summer wearing the most environmentally-friendly and technologically-advanced kit in football's history.

For the first time, all of Nike’s national teams, including Brazil, Portugal and The Netherlands, will be wearing jerseys made entirely from recycled polyester, each one produced from up to eight recycled plastic bottles. Nike unveiled the new national team kits with several footballers at a global media event at Battersea Power Station in London.

“This summer in South Africa Nike will give footballers an edge by providing the newest and most innovative product for the game’s greatest players,” said Charlie Denson, President, Nike Brand. “With today’s announcement, we are equipping athletes with newly designed uniforms that not only look great and deliver performance benefits, but are also made with recycled materials, creating less impact on our environment.”

To make the 2010 national team kits, Nike’s fabric suppliers sourced discarded plastic bottles from Japanese and Taiwanese landfill sites and then melted them down to produce new yarn that was ultimately converted to fabric for the jerseys.

Arsenal 10/11 Nike Kits - Update

Arsenalinsider revealed that Arsenal will revert to a design based on their 1971 Double-winning kit for next 10/11 season to celebrate the Gunners' 125th anniversary.

Nike and the club are said to have agreed on a design based on the traditional red shirts with white sleeves much to the relief of supporters who had feared the club were set to abandon the white sleeves altogether.

It was thought they were set to produce an all-red shirt similar to those donated to the Gunners by Nottingham Forest in 1886.

The site also exclusively revealed that the away kit returns to a theme of yellow.

Fans seem delighted that the club have produced a kit with such historical importance. 'That simple red and white kit is iconic with the Arsenal and will sell like hot cakes,' said season-ticket holder Chris Adsett, 36.

'We've had many variations on the home shirt but the essence of all things Arsenal can be found in the '71 home top and we can only hope some of the success of that era returns to us next season.'

The Weilheim-based CarFilmComponents (CFC) is offering a tuned-out version of the Hummer H2, done over in a not-so-subtle "burning chrome" lamination. Yes, the car is actually coated with an adhesive film.

The bonnet is covered in a black carbon film while the side and rear windows are draped with CutLine ThermoTec, one of the many registered trademark materials from CFC, that make them look an awful lot like conventional tinted windows.

UEFA Champions League: Arsenal 5-0 Porto

Nicklas Bendtner scored a hat-trick as Arsenal cruised into the quarter-finals of the Champions League with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Porto.

The Gunners were trailing 2-1 from the first leg and had to do without injured captain Cesc Fabregas at the Emirates Stadium.

However, Arsene Wenger's young team rose to the challenge as a first-half brace from Bendtner - who missed a string of chances against Burnley here three days ago - was followed by fine goals from Samir Nasri and Emmanuel Eboue before the young Dane slotted home a penalty in the final minute to secure a place among the last eight of Europe's elite once again.

The result also broke Arsenal's unwelcome near 32-year run of failing to overturn a first-leg deficit in a European tie since beating Hajduk Split in 1978.

Arsenal had started brightly, with Nasri's shot blocked in the six-yard box before the lively Andrey Arshavin saw his far-post header saved following a deep cross by Bacary Sagna.

The Gunners went ahead after 10 minutes.

Goalkeeper Manuel Almunia, standing in as captain, booted a long clearance up field, which Arshavin nodded back for Nasri.

The Frenchman knocked a quick pass between the centre-backs for the Russian to run onto.

In tracking back, Porto defender Fucile clattered into his keeper, and Bendtner was first to react, stabbing the loose ball into the empty net.

Helton needed treatment for a head injury, caught accidentally by Arshavin, but after a short delay, the Brazilian was able to continue.

With the tie now level, Arsenal looked to go ahead, as Abou Diaby hooked a 12-yard effort over.

Porto continued to pass the ball crisply, but were undone again on 25 minutes.

Fucile's poor clearance was latched onto by Arshavin.

The diminutive Russian weaved into the left side of the penalty box, before pulling the ball back along the six-yard box to Bendtner, who, despite what he showed here on Saturday, just could not miss.

Arsenal were somewhat fortunate when Brazil forward Hulk - who is serving a four-month domestic ban for a fracas with a steward after a match against Benfica - capitalised on a mistake by right-back Gael Clichy and cut in towards goal, but stabbed his shot into the arms of Almunia.

Helton touched Bendtner's curling effort around the post.

From the corner, Diaby's downward header was clawed away by the Porto keeper, who also denied Nasri in stoppage time.

There was a scare at the start of the second half when Tomas Rosicky gave the ball away to Hulk, but fortunately for the Czech winger, the Porto striker was again off target.

Almunia then had to be on his toes as Falcao drove in a low snapshot, which the Spaniard gathered at the second attempt.

Rosicky, who appeared to be carrying a knee problem, was replaced by Emmanuel Eboue just before the hour as Wenger looked to breathe new life into his side.

Arsenal, though, were anything but convincing at the back - with Nasri clearing a header from substitute Cristian Rodriguez off the line.

The Frenchman, however, then settled any nerves with a quite brilliant individual goal after 64 minutes.

After collecting the ball just outside the area on the right, Nasri twisted past three Porto defenders before drilling a low shot in off the far post from the tightest of angles.

Safe passage to the quarter-finals was assured three minutes later when, following a Porto corner, Arshavin broke quickly down the left, holding the ball up before releasing the on-rushing Eboue, who rounded the keeper and stroked in a fourth.

Porto had lost here 4-0 in the group stages last season, which was their worst away reverse in the competition.

And over the final 20 minutes, it was a case of damage limitation for Jesualdo Ferreira's men.

Nasri was given a well-earned rest as he left the field to a standing ovation, replaced by defensive midfielder Denilson.

Fellow substitute Theo Walcott looked lively after he came on for Arshavin, and Bendtner headed a good hat-trick chance wide.

Eboue was brought down for by Fucile to concede a penalty in the final minute - which the young Dane stroked into the bottom corner to collect the match ball.
